This student-friendly text shares current perspectives on traditional theories and explores the kinds of challenges faced by managers today.
Over the course of the four sections of the book readers study management functions, individual processes in organizations, organizational processes and leadership, and how to understand and manage social processes and decision-making. Specific topics include teamwork, managing change and conflict, and understanding people’s personalities and abilities and the way these impact the workplace.
Each chapter includes learning objectives, discussion questions, and assessment activities. Chapters also feature content boxes to highlight important information and colorful graphics that support and enhance the writing.
